# The seven churches

*Patmos and the letters of Revelation, from Ephesus to Laodicea*

Patmos, where John received the vision (1:9), and the seven churches of the province of Asia, in the order Revelation 1:11 names them, the same order as the letters of chapters 2 and 3. No line joins them: the text names them, it does not describe a journey.

## Patmos and the seven letters (Revelation 1:9-3:22)
